Point Robotics at 2024 Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan : Robotic-Assisted Surgery in Focus
With the rapid advancement of medical technology, robotic-assisted surgery has become a key trend in modern healthcare. Point Robotics focuses on developing surgical robotics to enhance the precision and safety of minimally invasive spine procedures.
At the 2024 Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan this December, Point Robotics showcased its next-generation Robotic Guidance System, which integrates robotic arms with navigation technology. The system is optimized based on real clinical needs to deliver greater accuracy and operational stability. Visitors were able to experience its application in spine surgery within the BenQ Medical Smart & Precision OR.

In response to growing demand for spine procedures, the Kinguide Agile Navigation System—approved for use in Taiwan since 2022—has been adopted by leading medical centers and regional hospitals, supporting over 300 successful surgeries. The system fits both advanced hybrid ORs and compact settings with Mobile 3D C-arms, enabling hospitals to achieve flexibility and cost efficiency while expanding access to precision-guided treatment. Close collaboration with clinicians continues to refine workflow and build trust in the system, improving surgical outcomes.

At the expo, Point Robotics also presented innovative applications of its navigation and robotic systems, including a one-stop screw insertion system that simplifies surgeon workflow and a navigated dilator scope for decompression procedures. These technologies streamline surgical processes and address diverse clinical needs, offering a more comprehensive and adaptable solution for minimally invasive spine surgery.
